Oh You Better ‘HEAR WORD’ This Weekend!
This weekend, a-list Nigerian actresses storm the stage for Hear Word!, a production which combines artistry, social commentary and true-life stories to deliver a message wrapped around everyday issues of the Nigerian woman. The idea behind this thought-provoking play is to get Nigerians to ‘Hear Word!’ as it will be most difficult to turn a deaf ear to the important issues that will be raised.
Most theatre productions which tackle pertinent issues infuse humour as a backdrop, and this play is no different as the sharp wit underneath the issues presented makes it funny yet poignant and should keep the audience enthralled!

Director and Producer of the play, Ifeoma Fafunwa says “…There is no doubt that there are so many issues confronting Nigerian women. The most recent is the abduction of almost 300 girls in Chibok, Borno State. The role of women, not only in Nigeria, but also around the globe in the fight to bring back our girls has been critical. Through this series of plays across Lagos, we hope to trigger similar and more concerted efforts towards resolving this and other issues.”
